Kathy Petrino’s Tour of California’s Low Desert

Kathy Petrino is a very happy and prolific traveler who wishes to see as much as she can while she’s still on this planet. Thankfully for everyone else, she also loves to write about all of her travels, so that others can enjoy what she has enjoyed. She believes it’s great to enjoy your travels, but it’s better to tell others, so the destination will thrive to the point that you can visit again and again. And one of her favorite travel destinations is the Coachella Valley in Southern California. Located in the middle of California’s Low Desert, she realizes it’s not quite as popular as it was when the Rat Pack ruled the area in the 1950s and 1960s, but there is still much to like about the place.

For instance, Kathy Petrino notes the nostalgic vibe that transforms visitors the time when Frank and Dean and Sammy ruled Palm Springs, which is at the center of the region and the most popular destination in the Coachella Valley. The entire area features many fully-restored hotels and rental homes that will take you back to the post-War 20th Century. There are also numerous festivals to celebrate including the Coachella Music Festival, one of the most popular such festivals in the country. The Low Desert also is a veritable paradise for hikers and rock climbers, and travelers also love the lunar landscapes of nearby Joshua Tree National Park, and Salvation Mountain.

Travel Writer Kathy Petrino Wants You to Tour Hawaii

Of course, Kathy Petrino is a voracious world traveler. What you may not realize is that she wants to write about everything she experiences on every trip. Kathy certainly wants to see everything she can during her life, but she also wants to share everything she knows, so that everyone can have the best possible experience. The more people go to these places, the more likely they will be to go back repeatedly. Also, the more she tells others about having the same great experiences she has had, the more likely they are to have a great time.
Kathy Petrino enthusiastically writes about every destination she visits as if she was the first one to see it because that is how she likes to feel when she goes herself. She thinks of herself as something of an explorer, who treats every destination as a new discovery. That is one reason one of her favorite destinations just happens to be everyone’s favorite tropical paradise. Hawaii, which is the 50th state, is a series of islands, each with something special to offer nearly anyone. There is great surfing on Oahu, which also features the cosmopolitan flair of Honolulu. In addition, the natural beauty of Maui is very attractive, as are the hidden natural treasures of Lanai. Hawaii features beautiful beaches and jungles, breathtaking waterfalls, excellent swimming and diving.

From the perspective of Kathy Petrino, Hawaii is a great destination for families, surfers and honeymooners most of all, but there are many things to among many others. For those not adventurous enough to climb mountains or swim with mantas, there are helicopter tours of all of the island. You can explore Honolulu, which will remind you of many large cities, or Waikiki, which has a unique blend of Asian and Hawaiian cultures, with just enough American culture mixed in to make you feel at home.

Travel Blogger Kathy Petrino on Las Vegas

Kathy Petrino is a travel blogger who likes to write about the places she visits because she wants others to know about them and encourage them to enjoy them as she has all these years. Kathy has a strong sense of adventure and by writing about her adventures, she can encourage others to share in the fun and enjoy the same sorts of things.

One of Kathy Petrino’s favorite places to travel is Las Vegas, Nevada. It’ not because “everything in Vegas stays in Vegas,” but because it is a lot of fun, even if you don’t like to gamble. Of course, if you love to gamble, there are few places in the world more accommodating than Las Vegas, but there is so much more to the city than that. For one thing, Las Vegas can be one of the least expensive travel destinations in the country. There is a lot of free or very cheap entertainment all over the city, starting with the free circus acts on display at Circus Circus.

And if you are one of those who thinks the Las Vegas Strip looks amazing from sidewalk level, there are several companies willing to take you around the city in a helicopter. With a trip to Las Vegas, there’s really so many sights, you may become dizzy. You can see the Eiffel Tower at one hotel/casino, and the canals of Venus at another. There are the death-defying amusement park rides that seem to stop in mid-air around the Stratosphere tower, a miniature Manhattan skyline with a roller coaster running through it, as well as the large castle rising up next to a giant pyramid. And if you think the site of this stuff is great from the sidewalk, you should know that you can take one of several helicopter tours of the city and see it all from a vantage point you can’t beat.
